Ahh, yeah I am trying to do the same too. I usually only watch comedy slice of life shows, so I have been watching 91 Days to try to expand the horizons. The original is Working!!, but this season they put out a new spin-off show of sorts called www.Working!!. Basically the same thing, but new characters and such.

A few friends and I have been running a website that talks about anime, among lots of other things, for a little over a year, now. We actually just released a written review of Black Clover, and one of our people occasionally does fun little anime lists. Check it out!

Could anyone give recommendations for how to improve traffic to your blog? How do you network and draw an audience? What sort of topics do you write about?

Thanks!

I've had the same questions for a whilte. I stick to my anime science thing breaking down the science portray in anime, (anime mythbusters essentially) and try to work with bloggers that allow guest blogging or do similar educational content. I try to be active on social media mostly facebook and twitter, but i am begining to dabble with pintrest and reddit. Its been a slowl grind to build traffic as I think alot of people prefer video these days.

Thank you for replying, those are all good ideas. I hadn't considered guest blogging before- how do you find blogs of similar topics? I've had more success with Instagram in the past than with facebook for sure, twitter and tumblr have been alright for me too. I didn't even think about the fact that people would prefer video. It's a lot more effort to do video editing than it is to write in a blog haha, and I imagine that youtube is pretty saturated already. That's interesting information though!

I was just looking at some of the other anime blogs and seeing if they have guest bloggers most don't as guest blogging is down across the entire blogosphere, but some still do. The second thing is that you contact the blog directly about a guest blogging or colaboration idea that you have, but make sure your idea matches what that blog does in some way. I haven't goone into youtube from a more work perspective, but from a I don't know what I am doing with video perspective. I haven't used tummblr how is that working for you.
