Now, put Chromecast support on your android and iOS apps and it'll be a great month

I've been debating on getting a Vita. How do you like it?

Big games for it are mostly JRPGs and other niche Japanese oriented games. Don't go in expecting Sony to throw a lot of big western titles to the system, they'll throw a few token PS3 ports every once in a while.

Once you've set your expectations like that, its a pretty damn good system. On a hardware level, it trounces the 3DS and you begin to feel like you can't go back to the nintendo handheld. On a software level, well, your mileage will vary. If you like games like Persona 4 Golden, Gravity Rush etc. I've heard Toukiden is a good Monster Hunter clone and Soul Sacrifice is good as well. Lots of indie games too.

This is my personal rating:

Hardware:
Vita >>>>> 3DS

Software

3DS >> Vita

And if you plan on getting a PS4, you can stream games to the Vita and whatnot.

I truly believed CR for vita to be a cruel, cruel hoax. THANK YOU for proving me wrong.

Sorry Having a crap day today. Made even worse by the new's of the one App i've been waiting/wishing for Ages to come out for my Ps VIta is now not available, with no news that it is even going to be released for where i live in the UK.

Stuff like this actually makes me re-think paying for my subscription. Only problem is there's no where else i can go to get my fix. Im a junkie stuck with the same dealer :(

As a UK customer as well I understand and if it wasn't for the fact I have access to shows I ACTUALLY watch then I wouldn't be paying a penny to CR. Mainly because the primary factors to subscribe to CR is that you can watch content in up to 1080P HD and you don't get ads (Still gotta put up with crappy sponsorship backgrounds however it's not right in your face). However due to a very poor internet connect where I live and the ISPs are being incredibly slow and annoying about when and if fibre will be available in my area it basically means I'm limited to 480p at most times and sometimes even just SD. Rarely I get to use 720P because I have to share 5Mbps between 2 other people who download consistently.

So I'm only benefiting from the lack of Ads which atm is just enough to keep me going since the price is relatively cheap. However should I find I have no shows I'm interested in I'd cancel and treat myself to an extra pint because nothing rubs me the wrong way more then Countries that treat EU customers like second rate. I'm just happy that the UK is a little better of from what I've read then other countries in the EU, they seem to have it a bit worse and don't see why they bother to subscribe.

Overall Issues I have are local but there is nothing I can do about it so it indirectly affects my Experience on CR as well as CR not helping itself by milking EU customers whilst only providing 1/3rd of the service America gets.

Nope .. I don't think it's the USA centric nature of CrunchyRoll that is the problem as the XBox 360 app is available in AU/NZ region but the PS3 version is not. It must be some extra cost that Sony applies as remember unlike the ps3 version you need to subscribe to the xbox's network.

However ... it's relatively easy for the PS3 to set up a USA account, download the app, and then switch to your normal account and use the app. Unfortunately you can't do that on the PS Vita as each memory card is linked to a particular account so you have to switch cards and refresh the device to change regions

Are we due to get this anytime soon in the UK? The american guys have had the app on PS3 for months whilst we only got it here on xbox and even then, you have to be a gold member to even have the ability to use it. Animax has pipped you to the post in the UK so ive signed up for that in the meantime, but id much rather have access to the shows in your catalogue.

Understandable haha, I don't know to much about EU laws myself but I've never heard about the EU preventing any sort of legitimate Online products to be distributed throughout the EU unless it breaks several major EU trading laws such dodgy contracts that don't inform the users properly or breaking Copyright.

I was a bit skeptical as to say that it may be Copyright laws that would prevent the App being released in EU but as far as I'm aware the EU isn't as strict as America when it comes to Copyright (Don't take me up on this I'm likely wrong) and since Crunchyroll already has it service in the EU through its website it shouldn't effect the App since the App is only a portal to the same content servers that the website uses and doesn't store the content for long term use so I'll stick to what I said before about either Sony just being slow at publishing the App or Crunchyroll has yet to submit an EU version of the app (Possibly because they're sorting out the regional restrictions on the shows?) as they've never confirmed they have.

This makes for very sad reading for users in the UK Guess I will have to stick to my Android phone.

Could you guys report on whether you're working on or at least considering the idea of an Xbox One app? There's been several other requests here and in some threads, and about 2 weeks ago there was an Xbox One update that reportedly made creating apps easier for providers (though I'm not sure which are the technical implications that actually make it easier).

is there any chance the Japanese Sony Store can get it? My Vita is set to Japan so I can install Japanese apps and games. Thanks.
