I'm waiting for that Vita pch-2000 model to come out this May. Free copy of Borderlands 2 +DLC and the new model itself will be fantastic. =D

How about Australia?.....

I'm guessing you didn't see my earlier post.

There are licensing issues, just as with anime.

Meanwhile in Australia....

While I'm complaining about apps, let me just clarify something:

To everyone complaining about not having apps in their country (including me ) just as there are licensing issues to show certain animes in certain countries, you can bet your bottom that there are also licensing issues to make an app available in a country, too.

I suspect it's more to do with certification costs. Sony require localisation and local cert in every market, which is time consuming and expensive. By comparison, Microsoft have a single, global cert process and far less stringent demands on localisation. Then you have the likes of iOS and Android where pretty much anything can released as long as it just about runs.

Sony simply have high standards, which sadly Crunchy Roll do not.

And for Australia/NZ and English language releases in Europe, pointless cost padding.

Then the issue for Autralia/NZ would rather be that Sony have bureaucratic, inflexible application of their standards, even when the certification is entirely redundant.

While illogical from a geographical standpoint, Sony group AU/NZ together with the EU nations. When a product is released in this territory Sony require it be localised accordingly. That said, there are some country specific apps and games on the EU/AU PSN store, so it is possible to target specific markets.

From CR's standpoint, they may be reluctant to do this as it would show clear favouritism to English speaking markets, despite them operating in a limited capacity in other territories. They may have looked at the cost of localisation and decided it wasn't worth it, and are prepared to lose potential subscribers as a result. Personally I always prefer transparency and honesty, but politics can come into play and relationships have to be maintained, even at the expense of reputation and customer satisfaction.

I do feel CR should say something to their EU/AU subscribers though, as silence is never a good way to appease angry customers.

Not maintaining those relationships in Japan implies lost opportunities to license anime so its not as if "reputation and customer satisfaction" are all on one side of that. Especially since Aniplex of American, a subsidiary of Sony's Aniplex subsidiary, has been so important to Crunchyroll's Latin American efforts.

The first announcement of Crunchyroll coming to Vita was soo long ago. I bought my White PS Vita for that very reason and ever since the first announcement I waited and waited...and almost having my Vita for a full year I finally sold it because I assumed Crunchyroll gave up on an App for the Vita as their was no more announcements after that for a very very long time....When I finally sold my Vita over half a year later it was finally released,,,,,and the White Vita is now hard to find in pristine condition unless your willing to spend a lot....I got mines for the deals on Black Friday back in the day >.> ......Man....Why!! At least I got to play P4 Golden and Ragnarok Odyssey....Wished they ported more Japanese games over to the Vita back than as the library is soo tiny for such a great portable gaming system... (T~T) Way to finally back up the Vita Crunchyroll! Even though I'm upset I am still really glad you guys finally pulled through with it and made the Vita that much more of a Valuable technological equipment. I'd watch Crunchyroll on the Vita over the Apple and Android products any day! Support the Games, Support JRPG, and Anime! SOMEBODY MAKE BETTER GAMES FOR THE VITA! IT Deserves so much more than it is getting in the US. Like how about Some EXCLUSIVE ONLY for the Vita...Japanese Role Playing Games.....Yes I'm a big fan of JRPG ...I overused it!! xDDD But Still Comon Japan! Your awesome at making RPG! The quality, the animation, the humor, the seriousness, the replay ability, the long hours put into the first play through, that would make the Vita used quite a lot and more hours would be put into it instead of the console systems (I have nothing against console systems) Persona 4 Golden and the HD Remastered FF for Vita was a good choice to add to the library. I will gladly support the Vita again if it can make so much more promisiing games. Yeah I know this forum is about crunchyroll...my bad for ranting xP BUT Long Live SONY & CRUNCHYROLL'S PARTNERSHIP!!!

Guess this will be my last month of a crunchyroll subscription, I was eagerly awaiting the Vita app for a damn long time, and now it's here, It;s not available in my region. Only version there is available is 360 and IOS; 360 requires a Gold account, and I'm not paying for shitty xbox live to just watch Anime.
