Wow, I assumed they would have done 3DS first considering it's the best on the market now for current-gen. :x

And factoring in that a large chunk of Vita's sales are from Japan as well.

I just hope you will include in your update soon that the Crunchyroll application on PS Vita is like Youtube. The app is cool though, I just don't like when the entire screen dims every minute unlike other apps that runs videos they don't do that. It never dims the screen. It's not nice to watch anime on an annoying dark screen every minute and it's silly to keep holding or moving any panels of your console just to keep the bright screen. Please do something about it and the rest of the improvements would be much appreciated. I can give you 4 out of 5 stars if I where to rate the app. Well for the website, I love my subscription and again more improvement to both the Application on PS Vita and the website is much appreciated.

Can't we get the App's for the UK as well please. It's bad enough that we get the short end of the stick with shows being licensed by you over here, let alone the fact that you have neglected us on every App. Wakanim and Animax have also beaten you to 90% of this seasons best shows over here, but they both have terrible UX design across their sites and apps. I would much rather carry on using Crunchyroll but if you don't start pushing for more licensed content/applications over here we will all probably end up jumping ship.

That is exactly why they outbid CR; they hope you will do just that.

CR has two choices; bid even more for those UK licenses (and effectively lose money on the UK market), or play the long term game and hope the competition goes the way of Anime on Demand or at least starts placing bids for series that are more inline with expecting to make a profit.

Of course, Animax and Aniplex are both owned by Sony, so you should expect the former to always have an advantage over CR for series from the latter.

Really? Animax is owned by Sony? How can they produce such a shoddy site and App, they cant even get the rewinding and fast-forwarding working nicely, let alone providing things like watch lists etc. Their customer service is good, but I just wish that Crunchyroll would push harder for Europe, they do everything right apart from getting the shows over to Europe. It kind of feels unfair how we pay the same sub fee for less content as well, but thats not Crunchyroll's fault.

I hope it comes with an update really soon, the app really sucks, the screen dims after 1 min of no interaction with vita, and you can not use the touch screen, just buttons, and no explanation at all of what does any button does.

Crackle in the US is also Sony, and nothing you are describing would surprise anyone who's tried to use Crackle. Seems like catching up with the competition in terms of general streaming functionality is not a big priority inside Sony.

Even the big boys that usually do get things right aren't always perfect.

I remember when I trialed Hulu Plus, I gave up one using the Hulu Plus app on my Roku because trying to use fast forward and rewind on their app was often an exercise in frustration. Too often they would be a huge lag between hitting the button and action actually occurring. Worse, it would sometimes lock up my Roku and become completely unresponsive, forcing me to have to cycle the power and reboot. I ended up finishing the trial by viewing only on my PC.

By contrast, I'll have to agree with you that based on Crackle, Sony doesn't seem to give it their full effort. It has been long enough since I last used their app that I can't recall if I had any issues with the controls (although if I did, they certainly weren't anything as terrible as with the Hulu Plus app), but I do remember their UI was nothing to write home about.
