how did i find out about one piece?: one of my close friends was really into it, but i was hesitant to watch because it was such a massive story. On her recommendation though, I binge watched all of it on crunchyroll pretty regularly for the past 2 years. finally caught up a few weeks ago... and now am really struggling only having one episode a week to watch.

Yo, Lauren! Sounds like we're both March babies. I was born on March 27th. Congratulations on catching up to One Piece! That's quite a feat!

Catching up to a series is always a struggle for me too. Sadly, the One Piece anime tends to be a lot more drawn out than other series so it tends to be even more brutal every week. I tend to only watch YouTube clips of the best parts and just read the manga. Although I did recently watch all of episodes 807 and 808. I've actually seen pre-time skip... twice? Yeah. Almost three times, if you skip filler the third time. I started on the old 4kids dub and was like, "Huh. This isn't that bad." And then discovered what ANIME was when I was 14. Then realized that there was this other thing called MANGA. Then I realized that One Piece wasn't just "not that bad" but THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD.

So yeah. High School was me binge watching it... twice... As an adult I can't really do that, but I'm sure you know how that is. But hey, now that you've CAUGHT UP, the hard part is over! One Piece's hardest journey is actually getting to the latest episode of the series and now you'll just have smooth sailing from here on out! So welcome to the fandom, dude!

I found out about One Piece through my husband, who has followed the series since the beginning. He drew me into it with the theories and the storyline. Nico Robin is my favorite character so far. I haven't watched much of the new arc, but I hope I can remedy that soon.

Thanks!

Hi, the name is Shinjojin (real name: John)!

Birthday: June 20th

How did I get into One piece?

I've been a fan of One Piece for the past 13 years or so. I got into the series after first seeing a game poster of "Fighting for One Piece" which showed a lovely character that caught my eye who I decided to look up more info about right after (that character is none other than Robin btw). In time, even tho I orginally got into the series mainly for her, I've slowly started to get into the series itself as a whole and here I am now, at least as a casual fan for the most part since I don't think I'm a super hardcore of it just yet.

My favorite characters are Rob Lucci, Zoro, and Robin, who is my most favorite out of the three! In speaking of Robin, I've work on various movelist projects that revolving around "what if" concepts, with my "The Nico Robin: Rokushiki Style" project (alternately known as the Rokushiki Robin project) being one of them and the most popular out of them so far, a project that revolves around the theory of how Robin or any Hana Hana no mi user in general can utilize the devil fruit's amazing power with the Rokushiki style (the same style used by CP9 and various other characters). I hope one day share this project with you guys eventually when I get the chance.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to having a nice time here.

How did you find out about One Piece? I saw it was one of the (if not the most) popular anime and I wanted to see what it was all about. I'm now aware.

I watched the "4Kids" a while back and fell off. Years later I was on leave from my job for an injury to my hand and saw a youtube video

Needless to say, I binged the series while recovering and am now fully caught up with both the anime and manga. Best series in my opinion.
Coolest character is obviously Aokiji

How did you find out about One Piece?
I knew One Piece by name but not what it is about and I was such a wild outdoor kid that I barely watched tvs' and technologies. I do remember seeing a very quick part of Mugiwara vs Foxy Pirates... years later after moving to another country, I discovered Naruto (Some Onii-san lent me a copy) and along that was Bleach (which I watched some episode with some friend and her whole family) and then One Piece (You know the whole big 3)...

So having a sh**ty as internet I can't really watch anime besides the (LENT) DVDs I have, that's when I discovered manga... As I first read it I was like "oh I know this guy he's the rubber man,,, then eventually getting on the Mugiwara and Foxy arc, my mind was literally blown because I realized it was the same as the one in my memory and realizes that OMG IT WAS ONE PIECE then I teared up cuz it made me all nostalgic

One piece made me cry so much it took me 1 week to catch up to the latest chapter (599) FishMan Island Arc at the time and it wasnt a big deal i mean I went and read Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball, which has over 200 chapters. But man 1 week to read only 500+ chapters was fairly good for me since I used to attend a prison called School.

ONE PIECE STANDS AS MY FAV SHOUNEN MANGA
