I was planning on paying for the membership so that i could start reading manga but then i started reading the seven deadly sins just to find out that there are only the first chapter and like the 50 newest, and now i don't feel like it worth it for that. why is that and is there any way to read the missing chapters on this website or do i have to look else where

Kodansha manga publisher uses Crunchyroll (and Amazon/Comixology) as a marketing strategy. Once collected chapters get published into print and e-book volumes for sale, they are removed from the site. THey make the first chapter and any new unpublished chapters available only. Other publishers don't seem to do the same thing, but there are less titles here from those other publishers.

I personally wouldn't subscribe here just for the manga. It's an ok perk added to watching simulcasts, but I don't think it's worth it purely as a standalone service if you aren't interested in the anime here.

if you are primarily interested in reading manga, you could use
VIZ manga
shueisha manga
or subscribe to comixology. none of these will offer all the volumes. comixology offer a few volumes with the subscription.
if you want to read a particular volume, expect to have to pay for it.
