Hi Guys,

First is the Crunchyroll app on the amazon fire supported at the moment, as it is not on your list of devices?

If it is, I have come across a list of bugs which you may need to fix as it makes the app very frustrating to use.

1)
Title: Home Button Error

Description::-
The app displays an error message when you try to re-enter it after you have hit the home button and the only way to fix it is to clear the data and the cache.

Steps:-
1) Open up the crunchyroll app.
2) Sign into an account.
3) Press the home button on the amazon fire remote.
4) Try to open up the crunchyroll app.

Expected Results:-
The app to open normaly with no issue and automatically log me in.

Actual Results:-
An error message is displayed saying that the app has experienced an error.

2)
Title: Scrolling Error

Description:-
This error is an intermittant error which occurs when you try to scroll past a certain point. This can happen in the horizontal direction, vertical direction or sometimes both at the same time.

Steps:-
1) Open up the crunchyroll app.
2) Sign into an account.
3) Navigate to the playlist or history.
4) Scroll across to the right or down.

Expected Results:-
The app should scroll to the end of the list without issue.

Actual Results:-
The app scrolls to a point and then throws up an error message like the one in bug 1.

3)
Title: Login Error

Description:-
Occasionally the app wont even let me log in.

Steps:-
1) Open up the crunchyroll app.
2) Sign into an account.

Expected Results:-
The app should log in and take you to the home page.

Actual Results:-
An error message is received and it will not let you log in.

Hope these bugs help with the maintenance of this application if you are still supporting your app on the amazon fire.

there was a recent update to fire stick, I didn't encounter that sort of error before hand. however, here's some helpfulness in this particular situation. clearing cache where there's an error hardly ever works, just clear the data and then click on the home button, after that, enter the app again in the options and it will have fixed itself. log in and then, when you're doing something don't click on the home button, make certain to return to the home within CR app, or you'll going to continue to have the whole clear data and log back in situation. after I remembered to do this, I no longer have to do that.

I've also noticed fire stick doesn't like long scrolling queues, sure we can have a lot in there, but fire stick doesn't seem to care much, however, after you've dropped down a few (can't recall the number where it stopped for me) I no longer have that issue. so, just remember to be on the site if you want to watch something way down in your queue, just move it up or just check the history section.

equally so, if you're uninstalling the app and then trying to open it from the app store you're going to have an error every single time, to fix that just click on the home button and then enter the app on the home page, trying to venture into it in any other fashion will toss an error message every single time.

if you have cleared the data it doesn't automatically log you back in, so if that's the case then something went wrong and you cleared the cache and not the data. hopefully this will be of some help to you, feel free to ask and I'll try to help further if possible. these are just common solutions to common problems while using fire stick. it does make it much smoother once you realize what's going on and how to avoid said glitches/bugs/errors in the future.

Crunchyroll is no longer supporting the service across platforms. A class action legal team is currently seeking a answer for its parent company due to offering a nonexistent service experience.

I've experienced the problem with hitting the home button on the remote and the app craps itself, as well as the app crapping out if you try to scroll too far down in a queue. Annoying, but I could deal with it.

What I cannot deal with is whatever causes the app to crap out when I try to log in to my account. Thinking it was just the normal bugs, I did what I normal do to no avail. So, I tried what was suggested above, as well as force stop, clear cache, clear data, uninstall, restart stick. Deactivated device on CR settings page, then on the stick reinstalled, opened app, everything was happy, could browse, play free content. As soon as I try logging into my account in order to access paid content, it craps out and goes into the endless loop error message, we restarted the app for you, error, etc.

It's pretty shitty that the paid users are the ones who get the app errors.

Update on the problem:-
Still can't log into crunchyroll on the fire stick.
I can't understand how crunchyroll could have done an app release with this kind of game breaking bug.
I am a software developer and if any of our applications had a big like this we would have fixed it within a week.
It's not even like crunchyroll can say "we could not decipher anything from your bug report" since it's a professional standard report. I have had bugs from professional QA departments which are not as clear as the ones I have posted.

If the application is no longer in use. Please do 1 more release which simply returns a message saying "this app is no longer supported, please head to our website to watch your favourite anime" or something to that effect and remove it from the Amazon store. Its far more professional than to have people download and try to use broken software. My above suggestion is literally a 2 minute fix for a problem that affects a lot of customers.
