Episode 7

So much for throwing a welcoming party when Monaka and the others are hogging the snacks. And those snacks he was talking about, none of them are actually from Nagoya. Jin just continues to not know his stuff at all.

I guess this kind of like what it would be like if someone from New York moved to some place like Dallas and kept telling everyone in Dallas how great New York is. Years ago, I worked at a store with a guy from Long Island, there was some lady with a thick New York Accent who came in all the time complaining about how everything in New York was better than where we were at the time. After she left, the guy from Long Island said...if she loves it so much, she should move back there, she can have it.

I bet Crab Chips in Japan are not like Crab Chips in the United States. Crab Chips in the United States, with Chesapeake Bay Crab seasoning on them are possibly the greatest invention ever.

If you like spicy stuff, you should try Utz Crab Chips

There are other packaging, but this is the one picture I've found with the real chips on it. I actually wasn't aware of the US flag until you mentioned it.

Anyway, Japanese somehow think it is cool to associate with US stuff. One example you might find is coin purse ads in Japanese magazine using US coins instead of Japanese coins.

Nice - we usually have the prawn ones but I have had crab ones before - it's largely made of tapioca / cassava flour and deep fried - best when still warm from the pan - mmmm.

Lol, never expected to see those crab chips on the screen

(They're more like flat puffs than hard chips.)
