Why do I get the feeling this was a cross between Scooby Doo and Nanana's buried Treasure?

Watched episode 1, ugh this guy is a douche. What the hell is the teacher in purple wearing? Is this still supposed to be Japan?

I quite enjoyed that

Nope, I changed my mind, episode one showed some potential, episodes two and (especially) three dumped on that.

Just too stupid...

I think I'm dumping this one - the plot is kinda dumb - the characters are poor and I find the MC to have no consistent personality but rather a mishmash of memes.

I guess it's kinda what you get when you take the plot of a porno and then remove the porn.

Interesting show as it implies that he is having sexual relationships with at least one teacher.

Episode 4

Total welp in this episode here as Ayumi bit the dust after all, just like in that foreboding dream. Takuya just doesn't like spending summer in school, but it was a self-inflicted wound just like what Ayumi did to herself. And that Toyotomi bastard, Ayumi should have known better than to have sex with that flunky. That episode was just so hard to watch here as the personalities of the characters totally irritate me and even more so with this episode. Well, I wasn't high on this show, and after seeing this I think that will be it.

It's sad to see Ayumi harm self.

At this rate, I have a feeling this show is going to be a depressing one to watch. Also, I wonder if Kaori (the journalist girl) can even be trusted?

Yeah, Takuya definitely likes Ayumi and he got NTRed hard in this episode. Notice the condom wrapper and wet and messed up bed in her bedroom. I think it's obvious Toyotomi was blackmailing her, because when Takuya walked in on them, she obviously was not enjoying what he was doing to her. Add to that her apparent suicide (although Toyotomi or someone else could have killed her and made it look like suicide).

The part about Ayumi laughing with Toyotomi after Takuya nearly beat him up was strange though...I guess just nervous laughter to make Takuya leave. It's also interesting that the guy who supposedly beat up 2 guys who kicked the crap out of Takuya was about to get the crapped kicked out of him by Takuya. I think that shows that Takuya knows he paid those guys to take a dive.

Obviously Toyotomi has been shady since the beginning, but the green haired reporter is shady as hell too. She's paying people off to protest Geotech. She was bullying Ayumi, she seems to be working with Ryuzoji, who pulled the gun on Takuya in the first episode. I think she is trying to get into Geotech to steal information, not expose them, and I wouldn't be surprised if she is working with Toyotomi. Perhaps Toyotomi doesn't have enough access in the company to get to what she wants, but he had the opportunity to steal that envelope and frame Ayumi, and then Kaori tricks Takuya to help her break in to Geotech. In fact, it's possible that it wasn't even Geotech who called Takuya on the phone. It could have been part of Kaori's plan to trick him. Afterall, she wanted Ayumi's access card, and if Geotech really suspected Ayumi of corporate espionage and they were going to fire her, the first thing they would have done is deactivate her badge. So it's possible that Kaori was tasked with tricking Takuya into stealing her access badge, and Toyotomi was tasked with keeping Ayumi away from Geotech which would have exposed their charade.

Ep 4

A ton of stuff went down this episode. There are definitely hints being dropped as to a bigger plot happening in the background and it should be pretty cool to see how things unfold. So far:

Mio's father, the mayor accused of colluding with Geotechnics, is sending Mio to America suddenly. Something big is likely going to happen and he wants his only child out of harm's way.

Toyotomi, the sketchy worksite guy, has his hands on confidential Geotechnics papers and was blackmailing Ayumi. I doubt he's fully responsible for everything that's going on but he still is a problem.

Reporter lady is highly suspicious. She's probably manipulating Toyotomi behind the scenes to get what she wants, or at least that's my guess.

Kanna is meeting with the strange man lurking around outside the school. Either some blackmail going on there, or he is someone she knows, but interesting to find out nonetheless.

Lastly, Ayumi is likely dead, seemingly as a result of suicide although it could easily be made to look that way. If Toyotomi got all the information he needed from her then maybe he set her death up to look like suicide for a reason.

I genuinely like all of the moving pieces going on in the show so far, but the characters have been wholly unlikeable. I really hope that they improve quickly and that we don't get too many deus ex machina time travel nonsense since the government conspiracy surrounding supernatural otherworldly relics is cool for a premise. Wow, do the characters bother me a lot though.

I'm calling it now, Takuya is going to "reset" to the time he pressed the button in class before exams and attempt to save his sister from Toyotomi. I'm expecting if he does, there will be consequences to changing stuff in alternate timelines.

It's his step-mother not sister, and I strongly suspect he has romantic feelings for her as well. He's not really turning back time either, they explained it as jumping to alternate worlds. His father even pointed out that if he jumps back in time to change an event, then he has gotten rid of the event which prompted him to jump back in time, so you can't really change the past.

If this is the case though, he is only changing his conscious reality, and Ayumi is still dead on the world his conscious left.

How did they explain what happened at the warehouse when Ayumi was attacked by "thugs" (likely hired by Toyotomi so he could save her and look like a hero)? He was beaten several times and still "reset" to just before she was attacked. Takuya getting wrecked should be his trigger to jump back in time, so since it's established that he can't do that, then he is simply changing timelines to a different timeline where he hadn't made the decision to charge in yet? The button press still acts as a "save point" and everything else is supposedly the same, so contextually it's similar to jumping back in time unless we start to see some drawbacks to changing timelines as opposed to turning back time.

They did make a big point that it isn't the same as time travel so I have to imagine we will see those consequences eventually. So far though, the distinction between typical time travel and timeline hopping hasn't been made apparent to my knowledge.
