A new episode did air today, but it's not even up on Amazon in Japan, much less the rest of the world. Anyway.

Episode 14

More of Dororo's background is revealed after the map shows up. And then a giant demon-looking baby appears who just won't let go of Dororo on their way to a burned-down temple that used to be a nunnery, which was actually a slave farm and then it burned to the ground. While Sabame said it burned down due to lightning, that's obviously a lie because of the oil. And then a caterpillar and moth monster strikes.
Something is definitely amiss here as Sabame apparently had a hand in burning down the temple, and that he's working in cahoots with that moth. It will be interesting to see what comes of this.

Episode 14 is finally up on Amazon!

Episode 14

Interesting episode. We find out more about the map on Dororo’s back.

The interaction between Dororo and that giant baby? Made me laugh. Hyakkimaru said it wasn’t a demon so I’m assuming it’s a spirit of some sort...

We’re introduced to Sabame and ugh his eyes creep me out.

The story of the nunnery (or slave-farm) was depressing as the children died. The temple didn’t get struck down by lightning, possibly burned down because of the oil.

I hate moths and that demon really freaked me out... Hopefully we’ll see some demon slaying next week.

When Hyakkimaru gets his vision back I reckon the ED will become clearer...

It's Demon Mothra, but where are the Twin Fairies?

So is the moth-woman the nun, and the caterpillars the enslaved orphans? That seems a bit too simple. We shall see.

Episode 15

As it turns out, Sabame is just like Daigo as he would do anything for the sake of his village, even going as far as to work with the demons and kill those who know too much, just like what almost happened with Dororo when she was thrown into the area under the rice storehouse and was almost eaten by those bugs, but that big baby saved her. So after learning the dark truth that the villagers killed the nuns and the children, Dororo sets the village ablaze all while Hyakkimaru kills the demon inside the lake to get his spine back. That was a double-edge sword there as Dororo questions whether or not that was the right thing to do seeing that the villager are still people, and it sure was a brutal episode to say the least seeing that this led to Dororo and Hyakkimaru going their separate ways, and that was a stupid thing to do seeing that people are after Dororo's treasure map on her back.

E15

Hmm, the animation was noticeably budget in places, and the episode felt a little weird, but maybe it's just me.

I liked how Dororo was questioning Hyakki's moral compass, but at least do it within the safety of his vicinity

Episode 15

Other than that scene of Hyakkimaru running, I had no issues with the animation...

I can understand what she’s saying but Dororo should have stayed with Hyakkimaru. Itachi and his goons are going to use her to get the treasure.

I just started watching this a few days ago. It's quite amazing so far!

Can't believe I've been sleeping on this one.

Being on Amazon makes it a bit trickier but yeah, it's be such a well done series so far

Everything about ep 15 had me wanting to watch something else, nothing really stood out this time.

Slogging my way through many third episode drops today and thinking this season couldn't get any worse. Then watch the latest episode of what has been a pretty solid overall show yet instead of lifting my spirits I get let down even more by a considerable animation quality dip. Disappointing to say the least.

Honestly I was so engaged in the story that I didn't notice the dips in animation quality. Maybe I was too creeped out by Sabame's weird Innsmouth look. Those staring dead-fish eyes!

This is the email I received when I asked about episode 16. It’s annoying having to wait a day for a new episode. Guess I’ll watch RobiHachi whilst waiting for the latest episode of Dororo.

They didn't procure the license to the entire season? That's pretty asinine. 15 episodes is a weird stopping point as well.

At least you got a prompt and cogent response though.
