Love these kinds of shows, only thing I hate about this season is the fact that I just finished all the chapters of both Shield Hero and the Reincarnated as a Slime manga. Loved both, but probably gonna wait until all the episodes have aired before watching.

how did the country expect legendary weapons to work together against the Waves if they actively interfere with one another?.

The interference is related to the leveling process.

I'm on the fence. I'm sure I'll get slammed but I found the use of that exhausted trope of a woman seducing, robbing, then false rap accusing the man extraordinarily lame and lacking creativity. Was her motive just the money? If so, that's even lamer all things considered. Was she working with spear dude? How? They'd just met. Was that supposed to be a trial? There was an inn's worth of witnesses to him leaving early and the wait staff would have known how much he drank. Was it deliberately meant to be a shame trial? If so, they did a poor job conveying that.

I plan to keep watching but it needs to do something spectacular to elevate itself from leaning hard on such an outdated trope.

shot's fired

what came first egg or chicken?

shows overused trope and made it lame or situation is so ubiquitous that it became lame and lacking creativity by itself

sooo i am a long time anime watcher since about 1998 to .......

my thing is i dont understand everyone getting caught up on what the anime looks like.

yes there are some that look like my 7 yr old drew them but if they story is great it doesnt matter in my opinion.

for me never heard of this series before logging in this morning, but from this preview i am hooked and ready for the next episode.

this reminds me of a story i have watched before but just cant think of the name!!!!!!!!!

Agreed, nothing wrong in using a scenario that is all too common to frame the situation of this young man, and it is all just about framing.

Just like a goblin that rapes, a woman who uses false accusations of rape is set out to be pretty despicable and it's easy to side with the falsely accused.

What I'm unsure about is what this tells us about the other adventurers and the heroes.

I think Spear Guy has been tricked by her too, but is this woman known to the other adventurers, and what do they know about her means of operating. The weapon shop guy seemed to have an inkling about her didn't he?

LN guys, please don't jump in, remember explanations only if they can't spoil anything

Already better than Goblin Slayer, though I guess fans of that show would have had to see the red head actually get raped to agree.

Bit too early to say, and anyways you're slightly biased on this matter

But I like the initial set up.

Who else was in on it, is it a ruse, who was the girl in the room?

I thought that protagonists voice was familiar - I was watching Bunny Girl Senpai last night and Kaito Ishikawa who voices the Shield Hero voiced the protagonist - Sakuta in that one.

I've waited a long time for this and it didn't disappoint. I especially love the little extras that were included.
