Thanks for the HTML5 player, but I hope the subtitle issue gets sorted out. I'm glad that you guys finally decided to implement it (even if it took us all to go into an uproar to get a proper announcement), but please be looking to improve it and update it regularly not just let it sit for 5+ years like you did with the flash player. We need a team that's always addressing issues and adding more helpful features.

Next, we just need an update to the god awful manga reader as well. I want it to have as many options as Fakku has with their reader, there's no reason it shouldn't be as good as their's. Reading manga on CR's website is terrible!

The only option I'm getting for quality is "Auto". I assume that's not the intended behavior since quality is the only setting there at all?

I liked how the timeline scrolling bar at bottom would disappear in 1 sec. With the new player, the the timeline covers subtitles when not in fullscreen and takes longer to disappear when mouse stops moving or you press spacebar (mouse stays on screen in fullscreen too). That's the only thing a miss from old player atm. Runs a lot smoother now, though.

Oh yeah, I hope the "auto" quality option forces 1080p since it defaults to that.

Will these be looked at and other bugs for the CrunchyRoll's app. I've enjoyed seeing shows on my tablet since my laptop is now very old to handle video but still does everything else I need just fine until I buy a new one. Also the app allows me to see the shows on the tablet in other rooms so long as I'm near my WiFi.

For the last month, I've see a lot of odd glitches, mainly freezes and looping on just the opening and ending songs of anime episodes. There are normal tiny freezes too during an episode but for sure every episode for some reason at the start and end during the songs freeze up or loop so there's sounds and the video catches up later. Please look into these as you improve the new video player for the web thanks.

Please bring the old subtitle format back. Those black shadows are ugly and are hard on the eyes.
You could also implement settings for subtitle size.

that is not a fix they need fix that for all, why i need to clear my cache 20 times with a 50% that will give me the html5 player.

Needs a setting to turn auto play off badly. Some of us like to comment after watching the video instead of trying to post 'FIRST!!!!!' and find it navigating away from the episode to be annoying.

Also a better comment system would be nice so we can follow threads instead of having to sort through weeks of messages to see if anyone replied to comments.

i watch shows when i go to bed so "Fullscreen mode will exit when switching between episodes." messes that up. please make this an optional thing

This freaking sucks. I want to be able to adjust my volume by hitting up and down on my directional keys. It now takes forever to move back and forth in an episode when I only want to watch specific scenes in an anime. I am paying for a subscription. Don't make the service worse than it was before.

Also when I skip forward or backwards now the video darkens as it pauses to load then lightens up again. Freaking annoying.

This is definitely a problem with your computer. No video player should do that or is likely even capable of doing that. I have watched whole seasons on continuous fullscreen playback before in one sitting and never had anything like that happen.
