it has information in the first post how to fix it... just wipe your cache and cookies history and return to the site, you'll have a 50% chance for the new player every time you repeat the process

Are the people who are complaining about it blocking them from watching the video if they have an ad-blocker turned on sure that it isn't rather the ad-blocker itself that is blocking the video? Maybe the ad-blocker thinks the video is an advert, and therefore the ad-blocker blocks it from being shown?

I have no idea since I've never used an ad-blocker. This just seems like a sensible question to ask. If the ad-blocker itself turns out to be the one blocking the video, then surely the maker of the ad-blocker is the one who needs to be told about this problem to fix it?

Great to see the HTML5 player is finally getting released for all users. I love how much more responsive it is compared to the old flash player so far.

One other thing I would like to add in addition to the above comments is that for me at least on the new player, the skip to next episode button (next to the play/pause button in the old player) seems to be missing. Is that functionality going to be returning at some point, or did I just miss something? I know there are other ways to go about it, so I imagine it's not a high priority or anything, but I found it convenient from time to time with the old player.

Also are there any plans to return the "default video quality" setting in our account settings page to reflect the preferred video quality we wish to watch at? I checked a bit ago and that setting seems absent after the change to the new player.

The "auto" setting on the new player is nice and all, but it doesn't really show what quality it's streaming at while using it, and so I find myself having to manually choose the quality I prefer each episode since it keeps defaulting back to auto. If I don't set it each episode, and I'm using the new auto setting instead, it tends to sit at a lower quality setting than I'd prefer to watch in, or it switches back and forth dynamically between quality settings based on my not-fantastic internet speeds, which is also undesired behavior in my case at least.

Questions aside though, you have my gratitude for finally making the HTML5 player available for everyone. I know there are many people, myself included, who were eagerly awaiting the day it would arrive for every level of user and not just the top tier subscribers, so thank you for opening this opportunity up to more users.

I've been using an adblocker for many years and I have never heard of that happening. Especially not for a brand-new video player that hasn't had a chance to be added to any filters yet.

Is there a way to disable auto-play of the next episode? I can't find it.

Here is what I see most people (including myself) asking for (I don't see any asking for what you said):
1. Default video quality instead of making it Auto, let us choose what it defaults to.
2. Skip to next episode button.

Default quality would help me out. Also, I miss the hovering time indicator when moving along the time bar.

A few weeks back I was frustrated to the point where i was going to end my sub. mainly because of the problems i was having with the flash player. I contacted crunchyroll and was given a link to download a firefox addon of the html player.
The Html player is the only reason im still here. its great and with the addon it loads html 100%.
keep up the hard work on the player it nice with fast loading and no stops every 30 to 45 sec like i had with the flash.
thank you

Thank god, the flash player was quickly becoming unusable for me, it kept stuttering and freezing and it was super annoying. this is way better

I agree that this new video player is better. However, i would like to see a couple of things addressed if possible. Playback seeking timer would be a wonderful thing to have back as would the next video button.

For a future I would like it to be implemented a Play Next Episode function, without leave the fullscreen mode

The problem with the "Next Episode Screen" in flash player was the the disappearance of the exit button(a.k.a the fullscreen on/off button), so we had to wait for XX seconds to be able to leave the page.

It's more user friendly a XX seconds "next episode screen" after the end of an episode that doesn't leave the fullscren mode to play automatically the next episode, but with a outside fullscreen button that also works for cancel the automatic playback in this "next episode screen"... and also the next episode button to not wait these XX seconds.

The new player is really good, only thing that bugs me is that the mouse/cursor doesn't disappear in fullscreen like it did in the last one. Hopefully this will be addressed.

The player I had the other day looked completely different and I was able to load 1080p videos instantly but suddenly I went back to the old player using the same browser and its back to having problems loading 1080p vids. I have 1 gig net but for some reason the old/current player that i am which is the old one again, has problems loading videos. The new one worked instantly without any issues.

New player has several issues.

1st - player keeps reverting to windowed mode when changing episodes. it's annoying having to constantly reset full screen mode.

2nd - mouse pointer does not disappear when not moving. old player the mouse would go invisible if inactive for 2-3 seconds during playback.

3rd - captions are hard on the eyes and make binge watching a headache literally!!

4th - don't think it's actually the player (new and old did it) after about 5-6 episodes of playback the video starts lagging and system needs to be rebooted (probably a memory leak) if left unchecked the computer will blue screen.

What ad-blockers are people using, i got it to work while using ublock origin and a PiHole

Never mind I’m wrong, totally doesn’t work so I’m sticking to the chrome extension. No way in hell im turning off my ad-blockers. As long as the extension works I’ll keep my sub.
