Any one figure out how to fix the unknown error?? I’ve deleted app from fire stick erased devised force stop clear data but every time I log on the message appears

I’m having the same issue! It seems to work fine if I stay looted out but when I log in the “an unexpected error has occurred” blah blah blah message pops up.

Same thing here. I think it is a particular show that, for whatever reason, refuses to load the episode image and the app doesn't know what to do. I.e.: the app will work fine, until I get to a certain line of shows in my queue, then crash. If i search the shows out manually one of them will make it crash upon opening the episode list to a certain episode. Or when it's on the endless loop in the loading screen I can clear the data and it will work fine, until I log in then it will crash. Presumably from trying to load the image of whatever show is in the beginning of my queue will usually itself clear up by just waiting till the next day just my observations

One thing I've noticed if you just go back to the home screen on the FTV stick and try to go back this occurs, but if you use the back button and it comes up with a UI of do you want to logout/exit Crunchyroll then exit it and come back it doesn't happen. Atleast the couple times I've gone this route instead of going directly back to the home screen UI. Don't have the remote handy atm but it's the middle button of the top row one I'm talking about not the first on the left of that row.

app is broken in my firestick. this crap better stop, crunchyroll will lose some paying customers. tried all the fixes that i know and that was presented here. nothing works.

Been seeing the same issue on my Fire TV, one day it is working fine come back the next day and no history or list and no shows load you only get the message to re login without the ability to log out :/
I so wish there was there was another option to crunchyroll.

Same issue, made another post with a simple suggestion to help stop this.

CRUNCHYROLL DEVELOPERS, ADD HEXCODES IN EVERY EXCEPTION HANDLING BLOCK, THAT WAY YOU CAN TELL WHERE THE ERRORS ARE HAPPENING.

I don't understand how an error like this can be so prevalent and so frequent with no end in sight.

I don't want to sound like an asshole, but i might have to go to a different service that actually works cross platform

Same here (AndroidTV app for Sony Bravia). At least it works after I wait like 5 minutes in the home screen after the error.

Having a similar problem. Opened up the app and it showed my queue and history was empty so I went to log out and log back in and it wouldn’t let me. So like I have done before I uninstalled than reinstalled the app and loaded it back up. Than went to the login screen entered my login and password than clicked login and now I am in. Loop saying “There is an unknown error. We have restarted the app for you. Sorry!” And before it even finished loading the message is back.

It loads up fine until I try to login.

Suspiciously interesting, the Fire TV no longer appears on this page: https://www.crunchyroll.com/devices

And it no longer appears in the footer section of every page, either:
