p.s. I hope that doesnt happen to tokyo ghoul:RE either

Since it is a simulcast, you can expect the usual broadcast censorship. For the uncensored version, you'll no doubt have to wait until after Funimation obtains and starts streaming the home video version (and unless you like dubs, you'll also likely still be out of luck for streaming).

Such a shame Escaflowne the Movie is only available in only 3.9% of the world's countries. As usual, those of us who aren't American (or Canadian in this case) are left out in the cold. Someday perhaps Crunchyroll get off their arses and treat their international customers with respect, although I imagine we'll all be long dead by then.

Crunchyroll didn't get to choose the regions. It's here via Funimation, who got this region-restricted license in 2013.

Crunchyroll gets a lot of "worldwide ex Asia" simulcasts every season, that's where the main potential value is for international customers. It seems that they also want to get more non-USA catalog licenses, problem is it's rare for local licensors to be willing to work with CR: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1004995/international-dubs-coming-to-crunchyroll Most of the older anime CR gets comes via American companies that often only have licenses for North America.

Admins, while The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan & Nyoron! Churuya-san should be available in Iceland it's not. Can you take a look into that?

Interesting... The announcement does indeed say that (currently):

5. The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan & Nyoron! Churuya-san

Territories: United States, Canada, United Kingdom,South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark. Netherlands

But the RSS page doesn't reflect that (missing code "is")

These are Funimation catalog titles. They had no reason to seek a license for Latin America at the time they licensed these shows.

Just starting episode 1 of Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid and noticed that there are both hardsub and softsub tracks.

Softsub didn't come up automatically, but I checked by right-click on video and select English [US] and then softsub show up on top of hardsub.

Edit: Episode 4 and onward episodes are fine.

Why? i don't know what's the problem with the license in LATAM and funanimation, the only thing i know is that lately crunchyroll is forgeting about this region.

Crunchyroll you're dissaponting me seriously

With the Funimation/CR partnership divorce, we don't have a chance to get it here in the US anymore. It seems pretty unlikely that they will ever get it for LATAM.

Even without Funimation, CR does have it for some countries, but none in Latin America:

EDIT: Make that "did have it". As expected, I see no videos on the page, but I also don't see the "Sorry, due to licensing limitations, videos are unavailable in your region" warning that should be there if CR still had it for anywhere.

Now that CR and Funimation are in competition again, I wonder if we'll see the return of these type licenses?
